Onna, a few Kilometres from L'Aquila, is a village that was almost completely erased by the earthquake of April 6, 2009. 85% of its old buildings went destroyed, killing 40.
Thanks to the initiative "Come era bella Onna" ("How beautiful Onna was") a path has been setup. It unfolds through the rubble of the houses that collapsed. On the occasion of the commemoration of the 6th anniversary of the earthquake, relatives of the victims hanged portraits in front of what remains of their respective houses. Onna, Italy.
